Tollers at Lennoxlove

Lennoxlove Kennel has been sucessfully breeding Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers in the US since 1983. John Hamilton and Marile Waterstraat, owners of Lennoxlove Kennel, have operated this highly successful, but very limited breeding program in the great tradition of the Toller breed - to yield the best All-Around Tollers. Our Tollers have received Best in Shows, Best in Specialty Shows, Best Opposite Sex in Specialties, and Judges Awards of Merit, as well as many Best of Breeds and Group placings. Since June of 2003, when the Toller was recognized by the AKC, we have bred/owned/co-owned 30 AKC Toller champions, and have several more that are pointed.
Our Tollers have also excelled at hunt tests, earning Working Certificate Excellent titles both in the US and Canada, NAHRA Started and Intermediate titles, and AKC and CKC Junior and Senior Hunter titles. Tollers are also excellent obedience dogs and Lennoxlove Tollers have numerous Utility Dog (UD) titles to their names as well as multiple Companion Dog (CD) and Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) titles.
Our breedings have earned Master Agility Champion titles, along with many many other agility titles. We also have trained two of our dogs for tracking.
We presently have two therapy dogs resident at Lennoxlove, and are very involved with the Puppy Tails program at our local library.

Puppies at Lennoxlove

Is there a Toller in your future? Lennoxlove operates an internationally recognized limited breeding program of 1 to 2 litters per year.

We breed for classic all-around Tollers. That means they may excel in all venues, conformation, hunting, retrieving, agility, obedience, tracking, therapy dog, and family companions.

Not every puppy will be a show dog, Some are born to be great hunters or agility champions, obedience dogs or therapy dogs, or family pets!

At Lennoxlove, we strive to produce sound temperaments, good health, and correct Toller type and structure. We keep our personal dogs busy, but they are first and foremost our companions.

Members of NSDTR Club (USA)

Thoughts For Potential Toller Owners

If you think you'd like to own a Toller, just consider that this is an active and extremely intelligent breed. They need a lot of activity, training and require an owner with skillful leadership. Tollers make wonderful family dogs. They are incredibly satisfying hunting dogs, and they excel at all active sports. If you want to learn more about Tollers, explore this website.

Owning Show And Performance Tollers

Tollers live in one of three kinds of homes: Show Homes, Performance Homes, or Regular Couch Potato Homes. Actually these all three tend to blend for Lennoxlove Tollers, because many make it to the show ring, participate in sports and excel at being a regular couch potato too! Which Toller home do you want to be?
